Cerebriu to Sign a Commercial Agreement With a Leading Hospital to Use Cerebriu’s Novel Real-Time AI Technology to Automate Radiology Workflows

Dr.Michel Christian Nemery, Head of Radiology at Herlev and Gentofte Hospital

Herlev and Gentofte Hospital, a leading hospital in the Capital Region of Denmark, will use the Apollo software from Danish start-up Cerebriu to optimize radiology workflow and resource allocation and thereby increase patient volume per MR scanner.

Apollo has been developed over the past 3 years by Cerebriu, a spin-out company from the University of Copenhagen. The Apollo software employes a proprietary innovative AI technology, Smart Protocol, to indicate potentially relevant pathologies on brain MR images, and then suggest follow-up actions, all during the examination, enabling better and faster workflow decisions to be made long before a radiologist would normally have the chance to review the images.

”We are proud to partner and bring value to patients and the radiology department at Herlev and Gentofte Hospital” Said Robert Lauritzen, Chief Executive Officer at Cerebriu. ”This is a major step on our mission to automate radiology workflow, increasing throughout and quality of care by bringing our Smart Protocol technology within neuroimaging”

”Most neurological conditions are serious, and many require fast and accurate analysis to enable correct triaging.” Said Dr.Michel Christian Nemery, Head of Radiology at Herlev and Gentofte Hospital. ‘‘Our hope is that Cerebriu provides us with the ability to optimise our workflow to a level beyond what is possible with our current resource allocation, meaning that we can leverage our clinicians’ knowledge more effectively and thereby improve the speed and treatment selection for patients-so patients can get to the correct specialist and the optimal treatment as fast as possible”.
